Frequently asked questions about D&D Mamba hot Haitian peanut butter made in Montreal.

LEARN MORE

WHY IS D&D MAMBA SPICY?

We love Haitian peanut butter, which is most often spicy, so we follow a Haitian recipe and add a bit of spice that compliments the peanut taste perfectly.

HOW DO YOU EAT D&D MAMBA?

Like regular peanut butter, D&D Mamba is fantastic on toast alone or with a little jam or honey & bananas. D&D Mamba can also be added to recipes.  We invite you to take a look at the recipe page on our website for some ideas.

IS D&D MAMBA NATURAL PEANUT BUTTER?

Yes. We use only peanuts from the US and Haiti, with a touch of organic cane sugar, salt, and hot pepper. No oils or any other products are added.

IS D&D MAMBA GLUTEN-FREE?

D&D Mamba is gluten-free to the best of our knowledge. Peanut butter is naturally gluten-free unless it contains ingredients mixed with products that have gluten. We use dried pepper that is not mixed with any other ingredients according to our supplier.

Why does D&D Mamba include sugar?

We follow an authentic Haitian recipe which includes organic cane sugar, salt, and hot pepper. All natural peanut butter (without added sugar and salt) contain 1 gram of sugar per tablespoon, while D&D Mamba contains 1.5 grams of sugar per tablespoon.

What percentage of peanuts come from Haiti?

Every jar contains 100 grams of peanuts that we import directly from the Acceso Peanut Corporation in Haiti.

What is aflatoxin?

Aflatoxin is a chemical that is produced by certain molds and develops when peanuts aren't stored properly. Our Haitian supplier, ACCESO, tests our peanuts for aflatoxin, the results being well below the levels allowed by the CFIA and the FDA.
